In Armavir and Ararat Grape Harvesting Activities are Held Normally. The Minister Follows the Process

1The RA Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan visited Ararat and Armavir regions to follow the work of grape procurement.

 

During the visit, the Minister was in Armavir branch of “Ararat Brandy-Wine-Vodka Factory” and then went to “Shahnazaryan” Wine and Brandy House Company accompanied by the governor of Armavir region Ashot Ghahramanyan. 

 

The Minister also met with the region’s vine-growers, got acquainted with their concerns, within which reference was made to the organization of the harvesting of the newly planted grape gardens. In this regard, the Minister said that although in this case the relevant procurement contracts have not been signed with vine-growers, but companies are willing to purchase their harvest. The Minister also said that the region currently has 16 processing companies 12 of which have already started the purchasing process.

 

The CEO of “Yerevan Ararat Brandy Wine Vodka Factory” Armen Zakaryan informed that they intend to purchase a total of 20 thousand tons of grapes, including grape harvest from the newly planted gardens.

 

In “Shahnazaryan” Wine and Brandy House Company, which was the second stop of the visit, grape harvest activities are launched today. The company’s director said that this year the volume of grape harvest will exceed last year’s volume. The Minister urged to purchase the entire volume of harvest offered by vine-growers.

 

During the visit, the Minister was also in Masis branch of “Ararat Brandy Wine Vodka Factory” and in Taperakan “A.K.Z.” company, where the purchasing process also launched today. The Minister toured the aforementioned companies and followed the ongoing activities. The Minister was assured that the grape harvesting process was underway smoothly and without obstacles.

 

At the end of the visit the Minister Sergo Karapetyan was also in “Aregak” company of Dalar community, where the purchasing process also launched today. The Minister was assured that last year’s purchase volumes will remain moreover, additional proposals will be consumed without any problem.
